Darryl is a retired firefighter from Danville, VA. He entered into the Ministry in 1993 and served as a Church Administrator and also a Church Planter before moving to Myrtle Beach to first serve as First Baptist's Family Life Center Director (now called the Compton Center) before accepting his current position as the Church Administrator.
He also serves as the Chaplain for Pirateland Family Campground.
Darryl earned his Doctorate Degree in Ministry in 2003 from Christian School of Theology - Beacon University.
He is married to Penny, and together they have two children, Jason and Jennifer, daughter-in-law, Heather, and two grandchildren, DJ and Makenzie.
His desire in ministry is to serve the Lord in the local church. He knows that he is called to care for, minister to and serve God's people. Darryl loves the church and has dedicated his life to helping it grow - not only numerically but also in spiritual strength and maturity.
Darryl enjoys spending his free time with his family and boating on the waterway.
